About J's Hideout SMP
Build, explore, and develop skills across J's Hideout's survival world, then head to Wasteland when you want the server's higher-risk PvP. The server combines familiar survival with classes, leaderboards, teams, Discord-linked features, and separate domains for safer building and open combat.
What Makes It Different
J's Hideout separates peaceful survival from deliberate PvP instead of making players choose between a completely passive SMP and constant danger. Genesis and Exodus provide the safer side of the server, while Wasteland gives players a clear place to seek combat and level combat-focused sub-skills.
Classes are an explicit part of the server's progression system alongside skills, ranks, and combat development.
The server retains ordinary survival gameplay while adding skills, classes, domains, teams, graves, lives, and other custom systems.
Players can create or join organized teams with membership, leadership, territories, recruitment, and shared community identities.
The server is explicitly an SMP centered on shared survival, building, exploration, homes, bases, and community territories.
Players gather resources, build, explore, establish homes, and progress through a shared survival world.
Wasteland is a dedicated current PvP domain, while the server's broader progression includes substantial combat development.
The server keeps ordinary survival at its center, with random teleport used to leave spawn and named domains used to move between parts of the world. Players can form teams, pair up as certified duos, establish homes, use graves after death, and connect their Minecraft account to the J's Hideout Discord for access to many server commands.
Progression comes from a broad skill system covering areas such as fighting, archery, defense, agility, farming, foraging, mining, excavation, alchemy, enchanting, and fishing. Players build overall power levels, compete on skill leaderboards, unlock class and rank progression, and develop combat sub-skills such as sword, axe, crossbow, trident, mace, Nether, and Void.
Custom systems include skills and sub-skills, classes, team commands, domain travel, Discord account linking, lives and player-to-player revivals, graves, rank-based utilities, cosmetic movement commands, and server leaderboards. The server also adds practical features such as homes, random teleport, backpacks for eligible ranks, and team warps.
The SMP is organized around distinct domains rather than one undifferentiated survival area. Genesis and Exodus form the main survival side of the network, while Wasteland is dedicated to PvP. Team bases, player homes, long-running builds, and named community territories give the world a social structure beyond individual starter bases.
PvP is not the default experience across the main safe areas. Players who want open combat can transfer to Wasteland, the server's dedicated PvP combat domain. The current setup suits players who want the option to fight without putting every build and trip through the survival world under permanent attack.
Events and announcements are coordinated through the J's Hideout Discord, which also handles support and activity across the community. The website presents the Discord as the main place to find current event information and server announcements.
J's Hideout is built around a Discord-centered community that extends beyond Minecraft into other games and activities. In the SMP, players can join existing teams or create their own, with team pages highlighting active groups, themes, membership, and recruitment details.
The server's in-game /rules command opens the current rulebook. Players are also expected to link their Minecraft account to the J's Hideout Discord, since many commands and community functions depend on that connection.

The website publishes power-level and multiple skill leaderboards for comparing player progression.
Combat sub-skills cover swords, axes, crossbows, tridents, maces, the Nether, and the Void.
When you die, your items are kept in a grave so you can go back and recover them.
Players can establish homes and use them as saved destinations within the survival network.
Random teleport is used to leave spawn and enter the wider survival world.
J's Hideout expects players to link Minecraft accounts to Discord because many commands and community functions depend on it.

History of J's Hideout SMP
J's Hideout SMP launched on November 9, 2024 as a full-PvP, full-loot survival server where raiding, stealing, and destroying builds were allowed. In December 2024, Team Safe Zones and a dedicated PvP Arena added structure to the early server.
During early 2025, skills and classes introduced a semi-RPG progression layer. By August 2025, the server had shifted into a Peace SMP as the community increasingly focused on building and playing together. PvP moved into an opt-in Anarchy Zone while a large Safe Zone protected ordinary builds.
The network continued expanding with the Genesis, Exodus, and Wasteland domains in November 2025, followed by the public website in December 2025. In 2026, the website became the main home for ranks, teams, leaderboards, skins, commands, and other SMP systems, while the server moved to the play.jshideout.com address.
