About Civilization.gg
Civilization.gg is an enhanced-vanilla survival SMP where players gather resources, build bases, join civilizations, and grow stronger together. Custom tools, armor, enchants, skills, abilities, and hand-built terrain give ordinary survival a much longer progression path.
The world does not reset, so major builds and claims can become lasting landmarks. Player trading, team wealth rankings, and war gameplay give civilizations reasons to cooperate, compete, and defend what they create. Java and Bedrock players share the same world without mods.
What Makes It Different
Civilization.gg turns survival into a team race to build an empire. Custom gear and abilities make players stronger, while the permanent world lets bases and claims become part of the lasting landscape.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The server emphasizes a permanent world where builds and claims remain.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
Custom tools, armor, enchants, skills, and abilities provide a major progression layer.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The official identity is an enhanced survival multiplayer experience.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server is fundamentally a survival world built around gathering, building, exploration, and long-term progression.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Player buying, selling, trading, and team wealth rankings are central systems.
Start with normal survival tasks such as mining, farming, gathering, and building. Join or create a civilization, then work with teammates on shared bases and long-term goals. Solo players can also join an existing team.
Progress comes from collecting custom tools and armor, improving equipment with custom enchants, and unlocking skills and abilities. The server offers far more gear upgrades than standard Minecraft survival.
The server includes hundreds of custom tools and armor sets, custom enchants, skills, abilities, and custom terrain. No client-side mods are required.
The world uses hand-crafted terrain instead of ordinary vanilla generation. It is designed to remain permanent, with builds, claims, and blocks staying in place rather than being wiped by regular resets.
War gameplay is part of the server. Civilizations can compete over territory and wealth, while land claims give teams a defined area to build around and protect.
The economy is player-run. Players buy, sell, and trade with one another instead of relying only on fixed server shops. Team wealth is measured through the combined balance of civilization members.
Discord is used for announcements, team planning, and community events.
Teams are called civilizations. Players can build with friends, join an existing civilization, recruit teammates, or work toward a place on the team leaderboard as a solo player.
An official web store handles coins and supporter purchases.

History of Civilization.gg
The Civilization.gg brand was in use by August 16, 2025. Its exact server launch date remains unknown.
By 2026, Civilization.gg had taken shape as an enhanced-vanilla SMP rather than a plain survival world. Custom tools, armor, enchants, skills, abilities, player trading, and custom terrain formed its main identity.
A permanent world became one of the server's defining ideas. Builds, claims, and ordinary changes to the landscape are intended to remain instead of being erased by regular world resets.
Team competition became a formal part of progression through a wealth leaderboard. Civilizations are ranked by the combined balance of their members, with monthly standings and rewards for the leading team.
War gameplay was present by August 2026, adding direct conflict to the server's building, trading, and team-based experience.
Today, Civilization.gg is a cross-platform survival world built around long-term empire building, custom progression, permanent construction, and competition between player-run civilizations.
